WELCOME LOVEBUG!

Hey Hey Lovebugs,

I hope you're doing well, Lovebug. My name is Zaria.

I am a blogger, content creator, and mental health advocate from the Great Smokey Mountains of Western North Carolina. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and am pursuing my master's degree in social work. I am passionate about helping others overcome their life struggles. I am determined to travel the world while sharing experiences, destinations, and lessons that can help others discover their authentic selves while pursuing their greatest desires.

Life is not easy, but with the right support, you can conquer the world, and I am here to help you discover your destiny. I started from the very bottom and thought that I had no way of getting out of the never-ending cycle of poverty that has cursed many people, especially minority communities. I understand the struggles you may be facing, and I'm here to walk this path with you.

Then, one day, I woke up depressed and frustrated about having to go to work because I felt exhausted, although I had just woken up. My body had felt frail, making my legs feel like jello; however, in my mind, I felt like I had to step outside of my body to force myself out of bed to prepare myself for work. I struggled with this feeling every day that I woke up for work, and on my days off, I would sleep for hours and hours until the day was almost over. Although I would sleep all day, my body felt exhausted, knowing that I had limited hours left to complete all my errands, chores, and any scheduled appointments or responsibilities. This constant feeling of exhaustion and the pressure to meet societal standards took a toll on my mental health, causing me to have panic attacks and shut down from the outside world. Eventually, after continuing a never-ending cycle of exhaustion, I began to brainstorm ways that I could escape what felt like slavery.

This blog is intended to empower you to escape the typical 9-5 and the stress of meeting societal standards while learning how to balance the consistent demands of society and your self-care. The usual way of achieving the American dream has evolved; therefore, if we want to succeed, we must change along with our environment. You have the power to shape your own path.
